NAIOP San Diego Chapter President's Message

As the incoming president of NAIOP San Diego for 2017, I would like to thank our members, sponsors and Board of Directors for your continued support and commitment. I look forward to working with all of you to further promote and develop the NAIOP San Diego chapter mission: to Network, Affect Public Policy, Initiate Business, Opine on Market Dynamics and Promote Giving Back to our Community.
The foundation of our chapter is the networking opportunities that we provide, the core being the deal-centric environment we create for our members. Whether through events such as the Property Showcases, Economic Forecast and Market Snapshots, providing topical market intel, Our goal is to provide our members, with the opportunity to interact, gain visibility, share market trends and to discuss ideas and issues that impact our real estate community. Fostering long term relationships, along with providing a platform for new introductions, is what drives our business and NAIOP San Diego forward.
Our goal for NAIOP San Diego in 2017 is to continue to be the premier commercial real estate organization by providing our members and sponsors with unparalleled networking and business opportunities, educational programming, industry trend information and bringing awareness to those legislative affairs which affect our industry.
We are also proud of NAIOP San Diego's commitment to our local community. NAIOP San Diego Foundation, a 501(c)3, will continue our relationship & support of the Marines, Sailors and their families of 1st Marine Raider Battalion. We are entering our 10th year supporting these fine men and women. While 1stMRB will continue to be one of our primary philanthropic initiatives, we will also continue to support other charities as well as providing scholarship monies to local universities real estate programs funded through our Annual University Challenge.
Our Developing Leaders Program has been a phenomenal success and is a powerful and important part of our chapter. Our young leaders are extremely active in giving back to the community and coordinating their own educational and social programs. If you are a commercial real estate professional under the age of 35, you need to be a part of the NAIOP Developing Leaders Program! The award-winning Mentorship Program will kick-off during the first quarter and should not be missed.
I hope you'll join me in actively supporting and promoting our NAIOP San Diego agenda for 2017. The coming year will be filled with unique opportunities for NAIOP members to expand their networking, philanthropic, legislative and educational pursuits and reap the benefits that NAIOP membership has to offer.
