MENTORSHIP
NAIOP San Diego Developing Leader members are invited to register to participate as mentees.
The Mentorship Program was designed to connect emerging young professionals in commercial real estate with the experience and wisdom of senior leaders along with their peers in the industry. The 2024 Program runs from March to November.
NAIOP Developing Leaders 2024 Mentorship Program
Meeting 1: Mentorship Kick Off
Timing: March 12th 7:45am
Description: This event will serve as your first official team meeting!. You will have an opportunity to break into your group where each person will introduce themselves, explain what their role is in the industry, their background, and what they would like to achieve in the mentorship program.
Meeting 2: Topic
Timing: March or April
Description: Each team will independently decide on place, time and topic based on the mentors goals.
This focused program is only offered to NAIOP Sponsors and will give your firm that added visibility and marketing power to bring you more customers and solidify your presence as a long term partner of NAIOP.
Meeting 3: Topic
Timing: May or June
Description: Each team will independently decide on place, time and topic based on the mentors goals.
Meeting 4: Uncorked
Timing: June 8, 2023
Description: Open to all. An opportunity to sit down with 10 industry leaders and taste their favorite wines.
Meeting 5: Final Group Meeting
Timing: September or October
Description: Each team will independently decide on place, time and topic based on the mentors goals.
One on One Meetings
Description: This is an opportunity for you to meet one on one with your mentor or a fellow mentee. This is not mandatory however it is highly suggested and is one of the most valuable parts of our Mentorship Program – getting to know new people in our industry. Your liaison will give you more information on how the One on One Meetings will be set up over the course of the program.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Must be a current NAIOP San Diego member.
- Must fill out an application.
- Mentee applications open November 2023 and close February 9th, 2024.
- If you miss the cut off date this season, email courtney@naiopsd.org and we will try to accommodate.
- Mentees will be notified of their acceptance via email.
- Applicants who are accepted will be sent instructions to register for the kick off event.
